Dino Jr, Wavves, Yuck to board ‘The Weezer Cruise’

Some bands smack of gimmicky vacations on the high seas, like Mötley Crüe’s Motley Cruise and the KISS Kruise, but as we learned earlier this year when Black Lips, Vivian Girls and Ty Segall boarded the the Bruise Cruise, sometimes music and pleasure voyages can work without it turning into a cheesy hair metal video from the ’80s. Having previously conquered the Snuggie®, the eternally nerdy pop punks Weezer have launched their own cruise. Yes, The Weezer Cruise will set sail this coming January, voyaging from Miami, Florida to Cozumel, Mexico, while the likes of Dinosaur Jr, Wavves, Yuck, The Antlers, Free Energy and Weezer themselves, among others, perform and most likely take in a few rounds of shuffleboard.
