Hello world! This is Dizz, 1/3 of Toronto based Pop/R&B group REVERSE speaking (typing) to you live from rehearsal. We don’t stop haha =P

So life is pretty crazy right now. From the moment we found out that REVERSE was selected to be one of the 13 bands for season 2 of disBAND, we’ve been foaming at the mouth due to the high level of excitement. We are pretty much on ‘uber-rampage’ mode right now, trying to perfect our craft for what truly is an opportunity of a lifetime. We’ve been literally fighting for this kind of chance to share our music with the world FOREVER now. We won’t let it slip through our fingers! Now enough with the rampaging talk lol. Let me tell you just how we found out about this whole disBAND hoopla.

I was in the barbershop one early, bright & sunny, $7.00 Tuesday morning, getting my hair organized in an attempt to preserve my sexy (thank you P. Diddy) when my phone started to ring. At first I ignored it for three specific reasons: 1. free after 7pm 2. mom probably calling me to make sure I ate breakfast (which I didn’t) 3. I was in the process of getting a ‘line-up’ the MOST important part of a barbershop haircut! Whoa… sorry. I went WAY off topic. Back to disBAND =P So anyway, my phone started to ring, I ignored, and I didn’t even think that it could possibly be anyone from MuchMusic because after our interview the week before, we were told that we would be hearing back that night or the next day. When that didn’t happen, Lucky, Khadija & I were quite discouraged and held one another in a tight embrace and cried for 3 1/2 days. Partial lies. We were discouraged, but didn’t cry for three days. Well… Lucky did =P jokes. Sorry. Back to disBAND. So yeah, didn’t think it was them, and right when I was done my cut, stepped out of the barber chair, phone STILL going off (I don’t have voicemail) was SO annoyed thinking it was my mother, and I just grabbed the phone and answered HELLO in a very ‘annoyed with family’ kind of way. Lo and behold, it was MuchMusic. My heart fell out of my bum. I was frazzled because I was shocked, nervous, excited, trying to redeem myself for the rude answering of the phone, and I had to pay for the haircut and wipe the hair out of my eyes. I was a mess. Anyway I was given the good news with the phrase, ‘REVERSE, Welcome to Season 2 of disBAND!’ From that moment on… PERMA-SMILE. I literally turned into the Joker. I was SOOOOOO happy, grateful, excited and all the other words that I can’t think of right now that would work well for this sentence. I immediately called Khadija and Lucky, they also caught Colgate smiles, and from then we’ve just been a bunch of teletubbies.

We made sure to say our thank you’s to the Universe, and now here we are. On the non-stop grind, rampaging our way to the top!

Music is who we are and what we love most. We’re so appreciative for this opportunity. DisBAND is gonna be the beginning of something HUGE for REVERSE! Get ready.

OMFG!! I thought that you guys were totally amazing on disband!! I think that chose wrong with choosing to disband you!! I think you have what it takes should get signed!! I wish that I was as tallented as you! My dream was that I wanted to be either a singer or an actress but I never had the guts!! But you guys did! And that inspired me!
