[Watch new episodes of disBAND Tuesdays @ 6:30pm ET! Check out what Theo of Satellites had to say about the band's experience on the show - Kat]
Hey everybody! Theo from Satelites here. So our episode is FINALLY here! We hope you all enjoy watching it (Tuesday, February 24 @ 6:30pm ET!) because we definitely had an amazing time filming it. Despite all the bumps along the way…..=D
It was quite the long process, especially for us, since we got a little extra time so we’re all super excited that it’s finally airing. We learned a large amount about the business in a very short period of time. The experience was so educational. It was priceless, really, so we’re very thankful for it. We’ve learned to take this business seriously…even if we don’t always take ourselves seriously. I mean I don’t wanna turn into a robot.
Anyways, currently Satelites is working on tightening its live game, recording and FINDING A BASS PLAYER (preferably a girl). We’ve got an EP in the works (It Came From The Sky…) Expect that sometime during the summer. God I can’t wait till summer!! I have had it up to HERE (I’m holding my hand VERY high right now…SO fed up) with this $*& dam snow!!
But yeah, that’s pretty much what we’re up to now. I’m not gonna lie, getting a band up and running is SUPER tough. It’s like buying a shit box car and having to do major repairs before you can take it on the road. FRUSTRATION! The thing is… if you REALLY like cars, the wait and hard work will be worth it…. and when you finally get to take that car out on the road you feel so satisfied and accomplished…….yeaaaa. How was THAT for an analogy!?!?!
And now the thank you section…
We worked with so many cool people during this show. I’d like thank them all for sharing their time and giving us this opportunity. Specifically Dave, Stedman, Jon Levine, Mr. Greig Nori, The Rehearsal Factory, Blue Mountain, Gibson, Sarah Taylor (for looking so gorgeous for our ep), our boys from Chasing Amee (you guys made that day at WestSide a little easier lol), ummmm, Allen’s parents, for letting Much invade your house, Joanne, Sienna, MY MOMMY, RICKY, Art’s parents, Bronx, Ronald (we wouldn’t be able to leave the basement without you man), Skyboy Ent., A.C.E., the judges (we totally get where you were coming from) ……… dam I can’t think of anymore. I do want to give a special thanks to Andrea. Thank you for choosing us and really believing in us. And for giving us a metaphorical bitch slap when we weren’t taking things as seriously as we should’ve been. We appreciate it sssssooooooooooo much. Same to you Gloria! Thank you for your support and encouragement and for trying so hard to get THAT SONG on the air for us. BTW people, go listen to Meg & Dia.
Lastly and most importantly. A gimorous-gantic-huge thank you to EVERYBODY who came to watch us on “our big day”! I honestly believe you MADE our show.
Without you guys, we’d have just been standing there looking all sad and disBANDed and stuff. It just goes to show that amazing friends and fans, such as yourselves, are the ultimate driving force and backbone of ANY band so thank you SOO much! We’re gonna keep working at it!
Lastly, lastly…………. =/
Art, Allen……..i love you guys (tee hee)………..and yes, you gentlemen already know…we DO have what it takes..
