Don’t you dare miss the season finale of disBAND TONIGHT at 8pm ET! To celebrate, we asked three members of Stereos to blog about their experience GETTING SIGNED TO A LABEL. We’ve posted one a day all this week! Tomorrow Stereos will perform on MOD!
Whattup errbody,
Pat here from Stereos. So we had pretty much the raddest time ever shooting our disBAND episode and I think that’ll be obvious once you get a chance to check it out. Until that point we were working jobs we hated and eating nothing but noodles just to get by and focus on the band, so just getting a shot at the exposure a Much TV show would bring was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.
Everybody quitting their jobs and a non-stop, cross-country drive later, we were in Toronto and thrown right into the industry we’d been working so hard to just be a part of. Day after day for a solid week, we were put through the life of full-time musicians. The fact that we weren’t getting up to go to our day jobs made our “challenges” feel more like privileges.
Hopefully our episode shows how hard work pays off. Go big or go home.

yo guys…i just want to thank you guys for forming the band stereos…if it wasnt for you guys i wouldnt have met my amazng girl friend sam…she made a group of you guys on face and i joined it…i saw her email so i added on MSN. We got to talking and we really hit off. IF it wasnt for you guys this wouldnt have happend. So thanks for giving me the most amzing thing in my life!

HEY PAT !!! I’m not just a huge fan !! You’re my role model, cause I want to be a musician someday, but I’m not as confident as you. Great job on disBAND I love that episode. I’m from Edmonton too, so it was a big inspiration for me to see you guys get signed. What really got to me was near the end when Gene told you and Miles there was no connection. My best friend and me, both aspiring musicians, got the same review at our first stage performance, and I was so inspired when I heard you guys got the same comment, and became so popular !! ROCK ON !!! I’ll meet you guys in the future when I become a musician =]
