(Syla Vale’s episode of disBAND airs tonight at 6pm ET!)

How did I feel about cameras filming my disBAND experience for a whole week?… Very weird! Haha, but eventually I got used to the cameras being around – but I still couldn’t get over the fact that I was going to be on TV … it was just so unreal!

Though cameras became the last of my worries when the challenges got real intense. My Guru, Greig Nori didn’t know I had put a band together after my audition. It was something I decided to do on my own, rather than wait to have Greig Nori go through the trouble of doing it for me. I wanted to prepare myself as much as possible for the show!

I’ll admit, working with Greg Nori was a bit intimidating… Okay, very intimidating! He was tough on us, but I knew it was only because it was in his best interest for us to succeed. But whatever challenge Greig Nori threw at us, we couldn’t complain. We just knew that we had to suck it up and work our butts off to do what we could to improve. I was also bombarded with difficult decisions to make, that may help me or jeopardize my chances of making it through disBAND. It was never easy to choose one or the other but, in the end, all I knew was that I had to follow my instincts to make the best decisions to move onto the next challenge.

Despite all the drama and stress, the whole filming experience was absolutely amazing! I had so much fun doing it and I definitely don’t regret a single thing about it. I’ve learned a lot about myself as an artist which has helped me grow in so many ways.

I hope the judges, including Greg Nori, will be impressed with my transformation!
