Drake was on Toronto’s Flow 93.5 radio station Thursday to premiere his first single “Over” from his debut album Thank Me Later. “I think it’s a great first impression. The album is going to be a great body of work for you to get lost in. Right now I just wanna have some fun,” Drake told Flow 93.5.
Drake gifted his hometown Toronto fans with the new single. In it, Drake acknowledges his quick rise to stardom. “I did it overnight, it couldn’t happen any quicker,” Drake raps. Nah Right is reporting that Drake and Lil Wayne shot the music video for “Over,” their collaboration on the album, this week.
The album was produced by Drake’s in-house producer Boi-1da (you can have one of those?) and Al Khaliq. “This record sums up where I am right now in my career,” Drake said. Jay-Z and Kanye West will also appear on the record. The album will come out in May right near the end of Drake’s Away From Home Tour with k-os and Francis & The Lights which mysteriously skips over Canada.
“Over” is available for download on Drake’s October’s Very Own blog and the full interview is available at Nah Right.
