Drake has some “great Aaliyah news coming soon”

Drake has always has an obsession with the late-R&B songstress Aaliyah, but now we might actually see a real collaboration in the works between the two.

In a recent interview, the Toronto rapper revealed that he’s got something special with the singer coming soon. “I have some great Aaliyah news coming soon,” Drake says. “Just some special things. Just gave you that, just a little. Because I said, I’m with Westwood, so I can’t not… But great things, great things for music, period.”

All signs are now pointing towards this weekend’s OVO Festival in Toronto. A close source is saying that Drake is set to debut a new song on Sunday night which will feature Aaliyah. Rumours are now also running around that he might have been recruited to executive produce the singer’s upcoming posthumous album.

So keep your eyes peeled this weekend for any potential Aaliyah holograms!
