The hype was extraordinary for Drake’s Thank Me Later and even though it wasn’t a million-selling album in its first week, the Toronto rapper was triumphant in topping the album charts in both Canada and the U.S.
Drake came just shy of 500,000, selling 446,680 units in the U.S. In his home country, Drizzy pulled in an impressive 31,186 albums sold, which was nearly 10,000 ahead of second place finish Sarah McLachlan in her album’s first week.
