Drake’s Thank Me Later goes platinum in Canada

Last night at the MMVAs, Drake nailed his performance of “Over” and collected two awards for Cinematography and the MuchVIBE Hip-Hop Video.

Backstage, Drake told MuchMusic VJ Jesse that while he was in Toronto this weekend he was awarded a plaque for his album Thank Me Later going platinum. This means that the Toronto rapper has sold over 100k copies in under a week! (Look at the track record of sales for Canadian hip-hop artists and you’ll be even more impressed by those stats.)
