Drew and Ellen at the Whip It premiere

Drew Barrymore premiered her directorial debut ‘Whip It’ in Los Angeles on Tuesday with a cast of leading ladies.
Dressed in a skin tight black dress, Drew said that fear inspired her to take on the new directing challenge.
“Of course, I wanted to believe I could pull this off, I wasn’t sure if I could,” she said. “But, that is where you need to be with your life is constantly challenging yourself and if you know that you can do it, that means you have done it. It is time to turn the fear factor on again, reach new heights. This was everything I wanted to do my whole life, so here I went with it.”
Canadian actress Ellen Page stars in the movie and loved working with Barrymore.
“It’s funny, going into it I had high expectations,” Page said. “It’s Drew Barrymore, she has produced I don’t even know how many films, is so intelligent and such a specific vision for this. She just blew my expectations out of the water. She is one of the most kind, compassionate, hard working people I have ever met.”
Whip It hits theatres across the country on Friday.

Under normal circumstances I would have thought that Ellen Page has a really annoying way about her, but she actually did a great job in this movie; all around Whip It rocked.
