Drop Everything You’re Doing And Watch Taylor Swift’s New Music Video

After many rounds of clues, Taylor Swift announced last week that she would be doing a live-stream on The contents of this live-stream, though, were a complete mystery. Was she going to announce a new album? Preview a new song? Maybe even give us a music video? Well, today’s the day for you Taylor Swift fans: IT WAS ALL OF THE ABOVE!

During Taylor’s online stream, the now-proclaimed pop artist gave fans almost every single detail we had been hoping and praying for. The new album, entitled 1989 (yes, the year she was born), is due out on October 27 and the album cover can be seen below (screen grab courtesy of Spin Magazine):


Taylor admits that she has spent the past two years working hard on her proper pop album debut and that it was influenced by ’80s music. The album cover is a Polaroid taken of her, something she admits to liking for its “tangible quality.”

She also reveals that there will be a deluxe version of the album coming out that will include three bonus tracks that are essentially personal voice memos of hers.

And that’s not all! THERE’S A NEW SINGLE!

Taylor premiered Shake It Off, a percussive and horn-filled pop anthem that is guaranteed to spread like wildfire in the next couple of days. Mark our words, it will top the charts almost immediately.
