I’m pretty late on this tip, but I was just introduced to the album The Death of Adam by producer/rapper 88-Keys.. and it’s fair to say that I’m obsessed and in love. The concept album follows ‘Adam’, a man who dies from his love-hate relationship with a lady. This week, I am that fly trap vulture lady, if my constant spins are any indication.

88-Keys has produced for the likes of Talib, Mos Def and Macy Gray, but stepped up to the rhyming plate when he released Adam in November. And oh my god, it’s so good - takes me back to the soulful, playful vibe of Kanye’s first album. Makes sense, since Yeezy exec produced this bad boy. Anyhops, my top spins so far have been “The Friends Zone” (’the only way I’ll be your BFF girl, is if I’m your best f*cking friend’), “Stay Up” (feat. Kanye), “The Burning Bush” (feat. Redman) and this one, “Morning Wood”! Yes, it’s what you think it’s about…sleepy trees. No, nooo, it’s totally about boners.
