Ellen DeGeneres is the new judge on American Idol???

It appears that the talk show host has replaced Paula Abdul.

The comedian will take over the fourth judge position despite no proven musical history.

DeGeneres is, however, a self-proclaimed “longtime fan of American Idol” so we’re sure she’ll sort of know what she’s doing… or at least be the token pushover softy who’s too afraid of making contestants cry.
