Ellen quits American Idol!

I guess there will be two seats to fill on the judges’ panel of American Idol next season, because Ellen DeGeneres has just quit the show!

Ellen released a statement explaining her reasons for quitting were primarily having too busy a work schedule. She said:

A couple months ago, I let FOX and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for.

Sounds like doing two hit shows became a little much for her! The question now becomes, who will replace Simon and Ellen? I nominated Snooki and Pauly D!

Aw no, not Ellen too! D= I may not even watch AI this season. :( It's just no good without Simon, and now Ellen's leaving too. But, I may consider watching if they put Snooki up to the judges panel ;)
