Ellie Goulding and Skrillex’s collab won’t be on her new album

Fans hoping to get a glimpse of Ellie Goulding’s collab with DJ extraordinaire Skrillex will be disappointed to learn that the track they recorded with Swedish House Mafia won’t be appearing on the singer’s new album, Halcyon.

A while ago, it was reported that the trio of artists were putting together something and Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia even revealed: “Ellie and Skrillex came in 30 minutes late, and we had already started with a melody. Skrillex freaked out, he loved it, and after a few hours we wrote the song.”

But, in a recent interview, Goulding says that the track didn’t make the cut, adding: “I definitely wanted him to work with this record, and…there’s no doubt that Sonny and I will work together, when we’re both a little bit less busy – because at the moment, his career is crazy.”

Bummer!
