Ellie Goulding is covered in heartbreak for Figure 8 video

Taylor Swift’s new album of heartbreak anthems may be titled Red, but Ellie Goulding went even more literal in her latest video for Figure 8, draping herself in red tulle to symbolize an overwhelming feeling of passion and despair.

Ellie spends most of the video in her flat, laying in bed, pacing the floor and spinning on her chair (a typical Friday in for me). She spends part of the video remembering her former lover, who is the source of her frustration and hurt, emotions she spends the entire video acting out.

Ellie worked with producer MONSTA on Figure 8, releasing the track as her second single from 2012′s Halcyon.
