Empress Of “Champagne” (Video)

Just a couple months ago, indie bloggers were scrambling to find out who dream pop enigma Empress of was after some mysterious clips dropped online with bits of music. The music turned out to be the work of Brooklyn’s Lorely Rodriguez, who now has a debut 7″ coming out for single “Champagne” on No Recordings. She also made a video for it with director Samuel Morris Hamad that shows her mowing down some watermelon using split-screen photography.
