Even Though He’s Gone Michael Jackson Is Still Raking In The Millions

MJ really is the hardest working musician ever! How else do you explain Jackson topping Forbes’ list of Top Earning Dead Celebrities for the SECOND year in a row? Yeah, I feel even lazier than usual right about now.

Forbes, famous for posting the financial earnings of every Tom, Dick and Harry for all the world to see, rank and judge, also note Jackson beat out Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon.

Jackson reportedly earned £160M (approx. $170M U.S) in the last fiscal year due to his music catalog (owned by Sony/ATV) and sales from the Cirque du Soleil show “Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour“.

The late singer was also number one last year, earning £173.5M. Which is definitely up from 2009 where he only pulled in £34.7M for third place.

Another celebrity pulling in the same rank twice is late Beatles legend John Lennon at fifth place at £7.5M, though he’s tied this time around with the debut of Elizabeth Taylor).
