Let the countdown begin!
We are less than 10 days away from the biggest wedding of the century, okay, well at least the biggest wedding of the year. That’s right the nuptials between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian is set to take place May 24. The lavish ceremony has been a heavily guarded secret, but lucky for you we’ve scoured the internet and comprised a list of all the important details. So here’s everything you need to know about the Kimye wedding.
1. Jay Z will be the Best Man, and he’s bringing Beyoncé
It was earlier reported that Jay Z and Beyoncé kindly declined to attend the ceremony. But RadarOnline is reporting the power couple changed their previous RSVP. In the wake of #SolangeGate, Jay Z and Beyonce reportedly want to shift the media attention to their arrival at the wedding. Jay Z also gifted Kanye with a gold diamond-encrusted flask with an inscription and a $10,000 bottle of whiskey. Best Man indeed.
I ain’t saying Kim and Kanye are gold diggers, but they ain’t messing with no other colours.
Kanye and Kim have made the theme of their wedding “gold”. Did we really expect anything else from this luxurious couple? A source revealed that the couple wants gold everything. From the cake to the party favours, even the forks. Stay gold, Kimye.
3. Europe Bound
Kim and Kanye will be saying “I do” under the Italian sun. It was earlier reported that the wedding would take place in a Parisian castle, but Entertainment Tonight is saying the actual nuptials will take place in Florence, Italy. There will be a small dinner in Paris before guests are whisked away, by private plane of course, to Florence for the ceremony.
4. Let them eat cake
Extravagant doesn’t begin to describe Kim and Kanye’s wedding cake. They’re reportedly having an 8 tier cake. Kim is taking inspiration from the actual royal wedding, copying Kate Middleton’s 8 tier wedding cake. If there are any leftovers, we’ll gladly take some.
5. Fairy tale princess
You would think after her other “fairy tale wedding” Kim would be done with the fairy tale fantasy for good. Quite the contrary; Kim is reportedly arriving to the wedding Cinderella style in a horse drawn carriage. The fairy tale motif is actually Kanye’s idea, as he always imagined marrying a princess in a castle.
6. Father of the bride
Just like her previous wedding to Kris Humphries, Kim’s stepfather, Bruce Jenner, will walk her down her the aisle.
7. No cameras allowed.
If you were hoping to get a glimpse of Kim and Kanye’s first kiss as a married couple, sadly you’ll be disappointed. Unfortunately the wedding won’t be filmed for Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Kim tweeted that the actual wedding will not be filmed, but viewers will see everything leading up to, and after the event.
As much as we would love to share these memories on camera, we've decided to keep this close to our heart & share thru photos

8. Small and intimate ceremony
Rumours were being spread that the couple were having an over-the-top event with more than 16,000 people. However, Kim took to her Twitter to debunk these claims. Kim says the wedding will be very small and intimate. She told Vogue that she’s expecting around 200 people. Yeah, cause that’s small and intimate.
9. Major security
Kanye and Kim aren’t sparing any costs when it comes to security. Kanye was mad someone filmed their engagement and doesn’t want the same thing to happen at their wedding. The couple has decoy venues to throw off the paparazzi, as well as major phone security. Guests’ phones will be confiscated at the airport and will be given prepaid phones that will only connect to pre-programmed numbers.
10. WE WANT PRENUP!
Kanye and Kim are planning on signing a prenuptial agreement, however there is a snag. Since Kanye changed management to Jay Z’s Roc Nation, the new management is not familiar with Kanye’s legal dealing. The prenup will be signed before the couple walks down the aisle next week.
