Evian Christ ‘Dummy Mix 130′ (Mixtape)

Evian Christ is 22-year-old Joshua Leary, a Liverpool-based producer who issued the incredible Kings and Them mini-album earlier this year (download it here for free), which was partially picked up for release by the envelope-pushing Tri Angle label. Not short on free material, Leary has given away even more music for a special “100% original mix inspired by a vast Soviet audio weapon” for Dummy Magazine.

About the mix’s inspiration, Leary says, “Duga-three is a four-part piece of music I wrote after reading about a Soviet signal transmitter of the same name. it was characterised by the repetitive tapping sound it broadcast, which was sufficiently powerful enough to intercept transitions across the world. After 28 years of transmission, the Duga-3 array was abandoned as mysteriously and unexpectedly as it had appeared.”
