Ex-’NSync Manager Put In The Clink!

Remember this guy?

No, no - not Aaron Carter - the creepy guy next to him. He is the one and only Lou Pearlman: the man who brought us Backstreet Boys, ‘NSync and O-Town. He is also the man who was recently charged with money laundering and just this morning was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

It turns out that the man defrauded banks out of $120 million and stole a further $315 million from over 1,000 investors.

Now here’s the kicker: Pearlman can reduce his sentence by one month for every $1 million he returns to investors. This is interesting because as one astute yet punctuation-challenged NME.com “maker of comments” points out:

so he stole $435million total, gets 25 years - with a month off for each cool mill returned… the math says he could be free with $135million spare! Bit of an injustice seeing how he helped inflict nsync and the backstreet boys on us all. tosh!

Tosh, indeed. But my favourite part of this whole story is that the creepy slober monster that is Lou Pearlman had been hiding from the cops and was first arrested last year in Indonesia. Lesson learned, Lou: Cops can run faster than your medichair.

  1. Don’t you just love the justice system? I think the clowns behind the scenes should hand down tougher sentences!

Lou, I sentence you to a Jenny Craig diet and a lifetime of babysitting Aaron Carter.

And just incase your flow is weak and you notice Aaron going through withdrawls, toss him a tube of Novocaine (I heard it’s almost as good as the real stuff!).
