While everyone shifts uncomfortably in their seats waiting for Muse to put out a followup album to 2006’s Black Holes & Revelations, the band have been participating in a fun fan Q&A over at Muse.mu, the band’s official website.

More than a thousand fan questions were submitted on the site’s messageboard, resulting in 125,000 votes for the top 30 questions. Yesterday the band’s responses were finally posted. The questions run the gamut from general interest to super niche, including whether or not they’ve ever failed at their own songs (Assassin and Knights Of Cydonia)
in Guitar Hero, what happened to the lost songs from the Black Holes And Revelations recording sessions, and which song of theirs they think is the most underrated.

Also according to the Q&A, the band hopes to release their fifth studio album in the second half of 2009, although they’re not making any promises - they just want to guarantee it’s the best thing they’ve ever released.
