“You start with colours,
They always get away with attitude,
But they’ll try to convince you of your mood”
Feist‘s “Anti-Pioneer” is a diatribe on the precariousness and manipulative sway of emotions, represented as colours. Director, Martin de Thurah, fittingly sets the song in black and white. The close-up shoot film paints Feist as deep in thought, confronting this stark reality. Musically, the track recalls post-Cale era Velvet Underground. Keep an eye on Feist, as she seeks out the 2012 Polaris Prize for Metals.
