First Day!

April 24th, 2006

Well it’s my first day on the job and I’m loving it! Thank you so much to everyone who voted, this is a dream come true. So in the past few days I have moved into my new apartment and it’s sweet! I have a corner apartment and the view is absolutely incredible. It’s fully furnished, so it was weird living in a place with stuff that’s not mine, but I got over that in like an hour because its that cool. I’m still doing lots of press and meeting loooooooots of new people. Everyone here at the station is great; they are all so nice and welcoming, I can’t wait until I can remember everyone’s names. That will definitely be one of the hardest things I’m going to have to do, haha.

It’s good to finally be here though. After the two-month long job interview that myself and 9 other people just went though, I finally get to start the job. It’s still crazy though, not used to some parts of this job yet. For example, walking out of the building and seeing a gigantic billboard of myself across the street, or having people come up to you in large groups and asking for autographs and pictures. I’m being treated like a rock star or movie star when I’m still just Tim.

I’m really excited to start on air and interact with the viewers and the audience. And that’s what I’m doing on my first day, making an appearance on MOD and talking to people on the street. I will also be in the Much store signing autographs. Haha it’s nuts, there are t-shirts being sold that say, “I voted for Tim” – how funny is that, there are shirts with my name on it at the Much store! Haha so unreal.

Which again brings me back to thanking you all again! Thanking you and apologizing. I am so grateful to everyone who voted and left comments on the blog site, and for people who come up to me on the street and say hi. But I want to apologize for not being able to respond to everyone’s emails or comments because now that I’m working it’s sooooo busy here and not only do I not get time to check my email, when I do there is just too many to respond to! So I don’t use MSN or Hotmail anymore. I still try to read everything I can though, because it really means a lot to me and I appreciate it all so much. I’ll leave it here and give you a little something to listen to.
