Five songs that The L.A. Complex’s Abby Vargas would listen to
July 24th, 2012
Moving away from home and fearlessly pursuing your dream of a becoming an actress is a daunting and scary process, as we’ve seen with Abby Vargas on The L.A. Complex. To get her through the toughest of days, she must have a pretty good playlist of tunes to cheer her up and keep her motivated. Here are some songs we think Abby has on heavy rotation on her iPod.
Aaliyah – Try Again
Just as Aaliyah says on this song, “If at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again.” This is definitely a motto that Abby needs to live by in order to get herself through those painful auditions and rejections.
Britney Spears – Stronger
Caught the guy you like hooking up with another girl in his work trailer? Britney Spears has just the song for you to get over situations like that.
Beyonce – I Was Here
Every aspiring actress wants to move to L.A., make it big and leave their mark on Hollywood. Abby would relate to this song and who better to look up to than the one and only Beyonce! Imagine the duet her and Abby could do (sans Kal)!
Best Coast – The Only Place
Abby isn’t originally from Los Angeles, California, so she probably gets homesick all the time. This sunny ode to California would be the perfect tune to remind her of all the good things the sunny state has to offer!
Kardinal Offishall – The Anthem
For those days when Abby really needs a taste of home, Kardinal Offishall’s anthem for Toronto (Abby’s hometown) will do just the trick.
