When Season 3 of the hit reality singing show The Voice premieres tonight at 8 pm ET on MUCH, we can expect a few staple items that have kept us tuning in for the last two years. From the four hilarious and talented coaches, including Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, to the amazing behind the scenes stories of The Voice contestants, it’s no wonder that our hearts have been skipping a beat each time we see giant red chairs in anticipation for the new season.
To celebrate tonight’s season premiere of The Voice at 8 pm ET, we’re counting down the top five things we’re most excited about.
5. The Outfits
If Cee Lo Green’s all white er’thing ensembles with a matching animal aren’t enough to keep you tuned in to The Voice, then how about to Christina Aguilera’s risque tops that are one high note away from exposing the Grammy singer’s, er, biggest hits. Blake Shelton always brings the cool to country and somehow Adam Levine manages to werk the cotton out of a plain t-shirt. It’s a skill.
4. The Covers
From pop to hip hop to rap to country, even to some of the judge’s biggest hits, the contestants on The Voice continue to impress us with their renditions of some of music’s biggest songs.
3. The Mentors
While we always love to see who makes it and who doesn’t get the chair swivel on The Voice, we’re especially excited to check out this year’s impressive line up of mentors, including Rob Thomas, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mary J. Blige and Canadian Michael Buble.
2. The Steal
The creators of The Voice are spicing things up this season with a new feature called The Steal. The first round will still go accordingly where judges Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee-Lo Green and Blake Shelton will each put together a team of 16 singers. But in the battle rounds, the numbers will be cut by half, giving each coach the chance to call dibs on each other’s list of cut contestants. Each coach will get a chance to pick up two more singers from the other coaches. Colour me intrigued.
1. The Coaches
I defy you to show me any other TV competition show that boasts the kind of chemistry among the coaches/judges that viewers see each week on The Voice. From Adam and Blake’s ‘bromance’, to Cee Lo’s hilarious comebacks, to Christina’s overall annoyance with, well, everyone, the coaches on The Voice are as real as it gets and we love them for it!
