This dad takes flipping pancakes to a whole new level.
Nathan Shields, or as he’s more famously known, Pancake Dad, is making an art at out making pancakes. The professional illustrator and math teacher is revamping the boring old round pancake and transforming it into an edible work of art. He designs anything from insects to Star Wars characters. No seriously he’s a Picasso with a squeeze bottle.
Here’s Cinderella and her Fairy God Mother.

Zach Galifianakis never looked so delicious
Shields began his pancake art as a way to entertain and educate his children, Gryphon and Alice, when they lived in Saipan two years ago. Now the family lives in Washington, and the dad still uses pancakes as a way to connect with his children. He even created an adorable video with his kids that shows how he makes his art.
Shields posts all of his creations on his website and will even make customized pancakes. For a $100 donation he will make a customized pancake based on an image you choose and send you the photo. All the proceeds from the commissioned pancakes benefit the Union of Concerned Scientists and the Pacific Marine Resources Institute. I wonder what Beyonce would like in pancake form?Tweet
