Flo Rida explores his serious side on his latest release from 2012′s Wild Ones, a surprise from an album that consists mainly of party anthems and songs about good feelings. The rapper goes back in time in the video for I Cry, reminiscing about his youth as a 9 year old growing up in the projects in Carol City, Florida.
Walking through his old neighborhood, Flo Rida finds himself in his childhood bathroom, only to have it fill up with his tears, leaving Flo Rida drowning in his sorrow. The song can still go head to head beat-wise with the club bangers Flo Rida has built his career on, but shows a softer and introspective side to the artist.
