Florence and the Machine plan on taking a year off from music

Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine has been on the road for quite a while now, hitting up the festival circuit this summer, so it’s no surprise that she would want to take a break.

In a recent interview with Style Magazine, Welch says that she would like to take a 12-month break from music before she starts work on a new album, even though she has an entire album written in her head.

“There’s a bit ‘take a year off’ plan,” explains Welch. “The record company have put no pressure on me for the next album. They’ve said I can have as long as I want.”
