Florence Welch sings with fans in the London Underground

January 22nd, 2013

Florence + the Machine singer Florence Welch was on her way home from the Kendrick Lamar show at the Hammersmith Apollo when found herself in an interesting subway car. We say interesting because she was recognized and fans of Florence starting singing her hit song from 2009, You’ve Got The Love. A source told the Daily Mail that, “Florence jumped on the Tube after Kendrick and, as you can imagine, every carriage was packed. At first she tried to keep a low profile but it didn’t take long for a few people to recognize her.”

The source continued, “They started singing You’ve Got The Love but instead of bailing at the next stop, Florence joined in. It was brilliant.” After singing with the fans, Florence launched into Kendrick Lamar’s hit Backseat Freestyle.

What star would you want to run into on the subway? Tell us in the comments section below and be sure to check out the Live from Bonnaroo video for Dog Days Are Over by Florence + the Machine here.
