Oxford, England’s Foals recently announced their third album, Holy Fire, which will see a release on February 11th. Production and mixing was provided by the all-star team of Flood & Alan Moulder, and you can really hear the results in the massive, crunching new single “Inhaler.”
About the video, frontman Yannis Philippakis told the NME:
“It’s a lot to do with rhythm and basic movement. Dave took a lot of influence from Japanese Butoh dancing and there is an almost sinister air to it. It’s a very homegrown video; we went to a special place that Dave converted. We really wanted to do a free and fun video that drew on our extended family that was in keeping with some of our previous videos. At one point during the filming of the video we were playing and Dave just started shooting fireworks at us. It’s that kind of freedom that you wouldn’t normally get on a video, mainly because it’s illegal.”
