Looks like Adam Lambert might return to his Idol roots as a judge on the next season of American Idol. Sources told E! News that Lambert’s name has been thrown around for over a month now and that he’d be perfect for the show because “he knows what it’s like to be on the recieving end of the judges’ comments, he has a human touch, and they know they can’t go wrong if they bring him on.”
The next season of American Idol is still up in the air, though, with Jennifer Lopez having no plans on returning to the show and Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler unsure of their future roles on the show.
“People are saying they’re too sweet and too nice, but once you’ve put somebody that you love in the top 10 and they’re coming every week and being good, it’s hard to critique,” producer Nigel Lythgoe said about the show’s recent judges and critiques saying that they’re being too easy on contestants. “It’s not like dancing, where you can say point your toes, spread your legs. It’s more like, ‘When you hit that top note, just smile.’”
