I don’t know what it is, but I usually get weirded out when on-screen couples get together in real life. I mean, usually we see a happy ending brought to life, and then we see its eventual demise. Look at Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling – so perfect together! The walking Notebook!! But then they broke up and you could hear hearts breaking all over the world.

On the other hand, on-screen romance lends itself well to real-world love – two actors who spend so much time together with their job depending on chemistry. It’s natural! So I guess it’s no big surprise that Dev Patel and Freida Pinto from Slumdog Millionaire are officially offish. Dev’s Ma confirmed the rumours to a British newspaper. If I was Dev, I’d be like, “MOOMMMM!!!!! Stop yer yappin’.”
