Fresh Video Review – Tegan and Sara ‘Alligator’

Pop duo Tegan and Sara have released their latest video off their 2009 record Sainthood for ‘Alligator’. The video includes the women performing a choreographed dance routine, along with backup dancers, against the backdrop of a winter wonderland theme. The video also includes multicoloured confetti acting as snow, a bed made to look like ice and a mountain of brown, yellow and blue plastic bags.

The video includes the typical shots of the sisters looking forlorn and staring into the distance while singing, but ‘Alligator’ really stood out to me as one of the bands best videos so far. It’s simplistic, visually stimulating and original and makes me wish that real winter included pink snow.
