One of the most theatrical bands, Fritz Helder & The Phantoms, performed last night in support of their debut album Greatest Hits (stream the entire thing here). The band is known more for their over-the-top performances than their music, which might be the reason why they are not signed yet sell out all shows. Their unique style of music blends electro, hip hop, pop, rap and a bit of everything else thrown in.

The show at Toronto’s notorious Great Hall was a fully choreographed event that pleased all. Just us entertaining as the show were all the people in attendance. The roster included a mixture of record company execs, media employees, hundreds of scenesters with a few celebrities thrown in the mix: k-os, Nelly Furtado, Michael from Project Runway Canada & Justin from Broken Social Scene. The event turned out to be a fantastic, fully entertaining show on and off the stage – make sure to get your tickets early next time Fritz Helder & The Phantoms perform.
