The new Judd Apatow film Funny People looks hilarious; His past films 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up were great, and this time he’s adding something else to the mix. Apatow explained in a recent interview saying, “It is more emotional than my other two films, but if you hate emotions you will still like it. And most people do hate emotions.” Apatow is also doing some amazing viral marketing. There’s almost a website for every character. Check it out.
Adam Sandler’s character, George Simmons, is a comedian. On his website, you can watch clips of movies he has stared in, including “Re-Do” and “Dog’s Best Friend”.
Jason Schwartzman‘s character is an actor named Mark Taylor Jackson. You can go to his website to read about how he participated in a hot air balloon fiesta or head over to the Yo Teach! (Mark Taylor Jackson’s TV show about a cool teacher helping out the kids) website and watch clips from the show.
Aziz Ansari character is a foul mouthed comedian named Randy who’s got his own DJ/hype man. You can watch videos of his stand up and play on the Randy soundboard.
See what I mean? They are going all out. The dedication to every detail is amazing. Love it. What site is your favorite? Are you going to go see Funny People when it comes out July 31st?
