Garbage have released a video for their first new single in over half a decade with the mainly black and white art piece for Big Bright World. The song is off the band’s May release Not Your Kind of People, which marks the return of the 90s grunge band after a six year hiatus.
The video features lead singer Shirley Manson in what looks like a widow’s outfit, complete with a black veil, singing in a one-room church. Clips for the video also include a number of people fully dressed swimming in a pool.
Manson credits the track as encapsulating the bands’ feelings over playing together after their time apart, saying “I think we were really excited as a band to get back together, and ["Big Bright World"] sort of captures the excitement of us playing together for the first time in a long time.”
