GG Episode 20: The Princesses and the Frog

May 3rd, 2011

BANG! BANG! BANG! Oh sorry – that was just me hammering the final nails into the Blair+Chuck coffin. If you’re still rooting for them after this episode – you’ve got issues.

Click below for the full analysis, and if you don’t know what I’m talking about – kick yourself - then watch it all HERE!

So what happened? In a nutshell, Serena betrayed Blair, Chuck humiliated, degraded, forced himself on, and then physically assaulted Blair. And we got our first glimpse at “crazy” Charlie.

Hell yeah it was a BIG episode!

So, how do we feel about the Chuck Bass shocker? Yes, I know this isn’t the first time he’s assaulted women, but he’s grown soooooooo much since Season 1. And yes, I know he was drunk and depressed because his father’s a murderer.

But that’s no reason to hurt the woman he claims to love with all his heart.

My theory – he’s not meant to be with Blair. Raina will find out her mother Avery Thorpe is alive and kicking, but didn’t care to see her daughter. Raina will forgive Chuck for lying to her and help him expose Avery, and then live happily ever after.

Blair will realize she doesn’t love the Prince, and once she pays close enough attention, will see Charlie as a nut case. And since she’ll be the only one to see it, she’ll be the only one to save Dan from her clutches, and live happily ever after.

Think that will happen before the finale? I sure hope it does.

So that was the episode in a nutshell. Prince Louis showed off his relationship with Blair Waldorf to his mother, Princess Sophie. Despite Serena betraying her out of jealously and showing the Royal Mother all of Blair’s dirty secrets, Prince Louis still proposes to her. This is even after a very drunk Chuck Bass shows up at a party and publicly makes a fool out of Blair.

Charlie Rhodes offered to help out Rufus Humphrey with his business dinner, and screwed it up. On purpose. When explaining herself to Dan Humphrey, she blames black sheep Vanessa Abrams, and all is well in the Humphrey household once again.

Serena van der Woodsen, realizing she was acting out of jealously, get the door literally slammed in her face when she approaches Blair to make things right.

Raina Thorpe found out everything that Chuck was keeping from her when Nate Archibald finally cracks and tells her the truth. Knowing Bart Bass was a murderer, she calls up the other black sheep Jack Bass to plan a way to take down Bass Industries for good.

After all of these explosive events, what on earth can happen in the last two episodes?

This should give us some clues:

Who am I? That’s one secret I’ll never tell. You know you love me. XOXO.
