GG Episode 9: The Witches of Bushwick

Beware of blonde beauties. That’s the most important lesson to be learned from Gossip Girl. Little J enters the fray after hearing Vanessa was screwed over twice trying to clear her name for framing Serena. But when Chuck throws a Saints & Sinners party, the true villains come out and their sins are far worse than Little J could have imagined.

There’s always a party on the Upper East Side and this time, its one most fitting its clientele: a Saints & Sinners party.

Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf are finally together again. They try and pretend they’re friends with benefits but when Chuck accidently slips in “I Love You”….they know they’re in deep s**t.

Blair wants to be an independent woman instead of “Chuck Bass’ girlfriend”. Chuck needs to reinvent is bad-boy image again to gain popularity for his Empire hotel. They love each other but realize they need to be apart first. This time (for the first time) they part on good terms.

Serena van der Woodsen needs to make her choice between Dan Humphrey and Nate Archibald. But as usual Serena can’t make a decision to save her life and says she has other things on her mind. Eric van der Woodsen tries to sit her down and get her to make a decision but Serena’s Serena and shopping takes priority.

Juliet Sharpe, scorned and exiled from the inner circle of rich socialites, forms a team with Vanessa Abrams and Jenny Humphrey to take down Serena once and for all. Jenny’s only in because Vanessa got burned last time and she dares not cross paths with Blair again.

But Juliet takes it one step further. Their original plan was to turn everyone against her. They set up Serena to apply for the same charity position as Blair to cause a friendship rift, and text Dan and Nate both messages Serena chose them. They also pit Lily Humphrey against her own daughter. Their kill move was to go to the Saints & Sinners party and toy with Dan and Nate more and leave it for them to end things with Serena for good. And that would have worked….until Juliet threw in her own twist.

After playing around with Dan, Juliet drugs Serena’s costume and takes her hostage. Vanessa and Jenny have no idea where she went, and none of Serena’s friends care anymore to find her.

What was Juliet’s end game? Did she want more than to humiliate Serena van der Woodsen?
