We learned two things from this week’s episode of Glee. One, comebacks aren’t always easy and two, never underestimate the power of the Biebs. Everything he does is epic. He’s clearly like a mini-god.
After losing her three best Cheerios and losing their regional competition, Sue felt like she had nothing to live for and attempted “Sue-icide” with Gummy Vites. Since the Cheerios are out, Will and Emma thought the best thing for Sue would be to keep her busy. How? Have her sit in on Glee club! While this seemed like a good idea from the outside, it was the worst thing Will could have done for his club. Turns out she was faking the epic decline and just wanted to wreak havoc on the Glee club from the inside. Sue tried turning Rachel and Mercedes against each other for a diva-off to “Take Me or Leave Me,” only to bring the two of them closer.
Will tried one more time to teach Sue to be grateful by taking her to the pediatric cancer ward at the hospital and singing with the kids. Sue even sang My Chemical Romance’s Sing with the Glee club. But of course, she got the last laugh here. She’s the new coach for Aural Intensity, the Glee club’s oh-so-talented competition for Regionals. Great.
Also trying to make a comeback was Rachel. Since Brittany is looked up to so much at McKinley, Rachael enlisted the former Cherrio to copy Rachael’s style and popularize the look. This backfired, since Brittany not only messed up the trend by wearing legwarmers on her arms, but completely stole the spotlight and took credit for the slightly hideous school girl meets librarian ensembles.
But her comeback wasn’t over just yet. Rachel thought it would be the best for Glee club to write their own music for Regionals. While the rest of the club didn’t agree, Finn did. And maybe after this little hint and some compliments in the hallway, we’ll see some Finchel action soon.
But the real star of this episode was Justin Bieber Sam Evans. Sam felt like he was slowly losing Quinn and was desperate to get her back. His perfect solution? Imitate Justin Bieber of course. I mean, who doesn’t love those swoopy blonde locks, supa fly kicks, and undeniable swag.
Sam sang Quinn a remixed version of Baby, and completely won her back. Finn didn’t buy the Biebs, but the other Glee boys took notice and wanted in on the Bieber Experience. So the four Biebers sang Somebody to Love for the club.
Sam even managed to (unwittingly) lure in Santana with his Bieber alter-ego. Santana told Sam the truth about Quinn kissing Finn last week and poked holes in Quinn’s silly story about giving him mouth to mouth was all fake. And then she gave him an offer he couldn’t refuse: her. That’s right, folks. Sam broke up with Quinn and is now an item with Santana. Crazy stuff this week!
Puck was still having a hard time luring in his crush Lauren Zizes, but after helping her with her first ever solo performance to I Know What Boys Like he’s on his way to proving he is worth of her jelly. Maybe next week he’ll finally get a kiss!
