Oh. Em. Glee. Did you see it? Did you see it? DID YOU SEE IT???!!!
I don’t know about you, but I’m already counting down the days until the bee-u-tee-ful, glorious day when Glee returns with all new episodes (in 122 days, IF you were wondering). At least they didn’t leave us with a cliffhanger (thanks, 90210), or a cut to black (I’m talking to you, Sopranos). They gave us an amazing episode that tied up all the loose ends, yet still left us with some burning questions.
Finally…the real babydaddy is exposed! Of course, leave it up to Rachel, “the psychic”, to deliver the news to Finn. Yes, yes…we know you want him all to yourself. As Quinn said…now neither of them have him. As a Finchel supporter, I was disappointed they left that story line at loose ends. Let’s just hope they make that happen in April.
I found it very interesting that Quinn didn’t get mad at Rachel for telling Finn. I guess that it was a relief for her. In a way, Rachel did her dirty work. It just sucked that she had to do it right before sectionals, which made Finn temporarily leave the Glee Club! Also very interesting…Quinn rejecting Puck. At least he made an effort to help Quinn raise the baby. Poor guy. I just don’t think Quinn is ready to go from being a Cheerio to feeding a child Cheerios.
A-ha! That’s why Sue leaked the set list…so they would lose, and she could use the extra funding for her Cheerios! I was just surprised that the other schools accepted! I thought they were all about sending their kids the right message! Guess not. I was super sad that we couldn’t watch the Glee kiddies belt out some of the classics (“Don’t Stop Believin’”, anyone?), but it was super cool to see some new material, especially some vintage Rolling Stones stuff! Rachel’s rendition of “Don’t Rain On My Parade” was crazy, too. No wonder the McKinley Glee Club took the prize. They deserved it! AND they did it pretty much on the fly, by believing in themselves! Now that’s my Gleeks! They made us all proud!
I loved the last song the club sung for Will/Mr. Schue. Did you guys notice that they paid a homage to all of the performances from the season? I’m so happy that Mr. Schue can coach the Glee Club again, and that Sue got the punishment she deserved! What a perfect way to end the fall finale! Oh wait, I almost forgot! What would a Gleecap be without covering the Will-Terri-Emma scandal?
Did anyone else squeal when Will & Emma kissed at the end of the episode? So perfect, right? Will left Terri, Ken left Emma…which left them both single, making it completely cool to kiss! It was the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Thank you Glee, for making me smile.
Lemme know, loyal Glee followers. Did you like the way they wrapped things up? How are you going to cope with the long, harsh winter ahead sans Glee? Glee Volumes 1 & 2 on repeat? Watching rerun after rerun after rerun on DVD? (The first 13 eppies come out December 29th). Sitting in a corner trying to belt out a J-Hud song like Mercedes and failing miserably? Well, I plan on doing all of the above. So for now, see you on the flip side in April!
