Glee’s Kevin McHale to co-host the Teen Choice Awards with Demi Lovato

Glee star Kevin McHale will join Demi Lovato as co-host of this year’s Teen Choice Awards.

McHale says that he and Lovato have been friends for years and thanks her for letting him co-host this year’s show. He adds, “It’s exciting to finally be working together professionally and I’d like to welcome her to the FOX family. This is going to be a great show.”

The Teen Choice Awards will also feature performances by Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida and No Doubt, with Jersey Shore‘s Pauly D acting as the in-house DJ for the night.

The Teen Choice Awards will air on Sunday, July 22.

As an extra tidbit on McHale, who spends most of his time singing tunes on-screen, Fox recently revealed that the actor also writes original music in his spare time and is currently working on a solo album.
