Kelly Clarkson celebrated her 30th birthday while on the set of her new video for Dark Side, the third single from Clarkson’s 2011 disc Stronger. In this behind-the-scenes look at Clarkson’s upcoming video, the singer spends some time next to a line up of emotional actors who are invoking their ‘dark sides’.
The video also includes a scene of Clarkson singing next the Los Angeles river beneath the 1st Street bridge while wearing a fashion forward cut-out black and neon green dress. Clarkson teamed up for a second time with her What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger) music video director Shane Drake for Dark Side.
In a recent interview with People Magazine, Kelly opened up about the shift in her music, saying that her relationship with talent manager Brandon Blackstock has ‘ruined her creativity’, joking “I’m writing all this happy (stuff). It’s killing me.” While we love us some angst-ridden Kelly, I’m excited to hear more of what Clarkson describes as “butterflies and rainbows”.Tweet
