Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars have given fans a glimpse into the making of not only their video for Safe and Sound, their recent collaboration as part of The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 and Beyond, but also on how the two music acts got together to record the haunting song in the first place.
In this featurette, Taylor credits Hunger Games music producer T-Bone Burnett as the guiding force in her decision to work with The Civil Wars, a band that she had been a fan of for years. With muddy and cold conditions, Swift and The Civil Wars give us a behind the scenes peek at the filming of their music video, with scenery that looks like it has been plucked from the pages of The Hunger Games’ District 12.
