Grammy nominations announced

The Grammy nominations were announced last night and Beyonce leads the pack with ten including Best Album for I Am…Sasha Fierce, Best Record for “Halo,” and Best Song for “Single Ladies.”

Taylor Swift isn’t far behind with eight nominations of her own while Lady Gaga has six. The Black Eyed Peas, who performed at last night’s nomination concert special, also have six.

“Thank you to all the people who believed, we’re just grateful to have our fifth album be the most successful album,” said apl.de.ap.

For Canadian rapper Drake, his two nominations are literally a dream come true.

Drizzy admitted, “I used to have trouble going to sleep because I would sit there and dream about hearing my name called at a Grammy nomination event.”

The Jonas Brothers scored a Best New Artist nod. Nick’s side project, The Administration performed at last night’s nomination concert.

The Grammys go down February 8th.
