Green Day begin work on new album

Good news, Green Day fans! Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has announced that the band has started working on the follow-up to their album “21st Century Breakdown”. Green Day’s last album came out less than a year ago, but if their track record is any indication that doesn’t mean this new album will be out soon – the band took five years between “American Idiot” and “21st Century Breakdown”. However, Armstrong does say he wants this album to be done quicker than the last, so we could be looking at a new Green Day record in 2010.
