Guess which Canadian singer is in the studio with Avril Lavigne?

Avril Lavigne has been busy in the studio working on a follow up to her 2011 disc Goodbye Lullaby. The Napanee native, always giving her fans the first glimpse at what she’s working on, tweeted “I’m in the studio…… Who am I working with???? He’s Canadian” leaving fans flooding her Twitter account with possible guesses (I think most rhymed with Bustin Jieber).

But Avril was working with another blonde Canadian crooner – it’s Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger! Thanks to Cribs we know that Kroeger has his own studio at home and it’s unclear as to whether the duo are working there or in Avril’s new home city of Los Angeles.

I know I should be focusing my thoughts on what kind of music this duo will create together, but I can’t get over Chad’s haircut. It’s like a piece of my childhood is gone. RIP Chad Kroeger’s curls 1998 – 2011.
