Guess Who Owns The First Pair Of Marty McFly Shoes?

Nike had everyone talking the other week with news (and photos) of their Back to the Future inspired sneaker – dubbed the “Nike Air Mags”. The limited-edition shoes (better known as the “Marty McFly shoes” worn by Michael J. Fox in the movie) were re-made by Nike to benefit the Fox’s Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

After a teaser video was released, the world got a first look at the sneakers when Nike released them for auction. And the lucky winner of the very first pair of Air Mags was none other than London rapper Tinie Tempah! The rapper – who is apparently a serious shoe collector – dropped $37,500 on the sneakers! He says he’s always loved the Back to the Future movies and fell in love with the shoes when he saw them.

There are still a few pairs of Air Mags up for auction, but many of the bids have now topped $5,000. Check out nikemag.ebay.com for details.
