Ashlee Simpson! I mean, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz! It’s gonna be a real hootenanny.

After a four-year break from TV, Ashlee’s back - as a season regular on the remodeled Melrose Place. She’s been cast as Violet, a “bright-eyed but shrewd small-town girl and recent L.A. transplant who has come to town with a secret”. She joins Michael Rady and Katie Cassidy, who have already been announced as cast members.

This should be interesting. Do you think acting is what Ashlee’s meant to be doing? Is she actually going to be a series regular or a temporary character? Is she done with music for now? SO MANY QUESTIONS AND so little care about the actual answers. Uhhh… carry on.

PS: Ashlee and Pete will guest star on an episode of CSI: New York in just over a week (March 18).
