On the same day that gave us the new Drake single, we now have the first single from Eminem’s Recovery album.
So which of the rapper’s personalities makes an appearance? Well, normally he leads off with some kind of yuk yuk, Slim Shady gag, but it appears he chose Marshall Mathers this time ’round.
Em sounds gets both aggro and reflective over a Boi 1da beat, saying he needs to face his demons, calling out those who looked down on him and even dissing his last album Relapse: “In fact, let’s be honest/ That last Relapse CD was ehh/ Perhaps I ran them accents into the ground/ Relax, I ain’t going to do that now.” He even sings the chorus. Hear it here.
Recovery is out on June 22nd.Tweet
